The stage presentation is probably two hours or more. The camera is as trapped as the unlucky recipients of U. The relatively static location helps increase tension. Since it’s not filmed on a stage, but rather on set, the camera is free to move around a little more than it otherwise would. It’s also live television courtesy of ITV so the stars had to get it right the first time. One hour leaves darned little time to get to know ten people, each with a dirty secret and a disreputable past. This kinescope version of Ten Little Indians is one hour long. Other filmed versions of the novel are at least 90 minutes or more. The play soft-pedals the novel’s ending but it’s long enough to get some characterization in. I didn’t expect anything good from this production. Hashtag this #FML #helpI’mstuckinanagathachristiemovieI admit it.

Blurry, out of focus, poor sound so you can’t be sure what was just said. However, our hero and heroine still escape, but with a backstory much closer to the novel. This version is truer to the novel than the stage play.
